This workbook is designed for students who need extra support writing sentences, especially those containing conjunctions and dependent clauses. It is helpful for students who frequently write run-on sentences because they do not know how to properly begin and end complex sentences. This is a prerequisite for writing paragraphs and essays. The first chapter of the book focuses on building simple curriculum vocabulary in order to construct appropriate sentences. Special education teachers, speech therapists, and English-Spanish teachers can utilize the lessons to support the development of basic curriculum vocabulary and grammar skills in the classroom. All worksheets come in English and Spanish so that students can practice the skills at school and at home. Additionally, every activity reveals a percentage score that can be used as data points for RTI, therapy progress monitoring, or screening!
